What attracted you to join Micro‑X, and what excites you most about the company’s purpose?

I was drawn to Micro-X by the opportunity to be part of something meaningful while helping shape a culture with real purpose.  Coming from the building manufacturing industry, stepping into MedTech was an exciting shift - a chance to work in an environment where the impact can be truly life‑changing.

Being located at the Tonsley Innovation District adds another layer of appeal. It’s a vibrant, changing community built around cutting‑edge engineering, which I feel is the perfect environment for people who want to make a difference.

What makes a workplace where engineers, scientists, and innovators can truly thrive?

Individuals thrive in workplaces built on clarity, trust, and a culture where people feel respected and heard. When expectations are clear and people know their ideas will be valued, they’re far more willing to take risks and push boundaries. Combine that with autonomy, cross‑functional collaboration, and access to the right tools, innovation naturally accelerates and I want to be a part of that.

What are your priorities in building a strong culture as Micro‑X grows globally?

My focus is on building a cohesive, values‑aligned culture that scales without losing our inventive spirit. Strengthening leadership capability and creating consistent, people‑centred systems are key to that growth.

What's your leadership style and how you support teams to do their best work?

My leadership style is collaborative, pragmatic, and hands-on. I’m approachable, down to earth and enjoy building relationships one conversation at a time. For me, great leadership is about enabling others — listening, supporting good decision‑making, and creating an environment where people feel confident, empowered, and set up for success.

Outside of work, what helps you recharge and stay inspired?

I love spending time outdoors — whether it’s climbing Mt Lofty or taking long walks with my black lab. Being in nature helps me reset and stay grounded. I also love getting lost in a Swedish crime show or listening to a great podcast.
